GM and Segway recently unveiled the self-balancing
Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility vehicle. The seemingly modded Segway can reach top speeds of 55 kph, has a lithium battery that lasts up to nearly 60 kilometers on a single charge, and features vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication to alleviate the risks of accidents and to regulate the flow of traffic. It's expected that the unit will cost a quarter of the price of a regular automobile.
