Kurzweil's "Transcendent Man" film trailer

Transcendent Man introduces the life and ideas of Ray Kurzweil, the renowned futurist who journeys the world offering his vision of a future in which we will merge with our machines, can live forever, and are billions of times more intelligent...all within the next thirty years.

I think they chose the wrong director for that. They should have chosen Werner Herzog.

the trailer sets him up a bit as a charismatic group leader to the stars, instead of the intellectual humanitarian he is. still, i'll be the first one in line for this flick.

herzog would be inspired by ray. he just needs to go to one of his lectures:)

The whole idea of creating an entire species of consious machines to (hopefully) co-exist with us is our number one existential risk. I am going to look more into this and read his book because I am quite interested in his theories.
