How does one make a heroine credible? Is making her unsexual or more manly the only way? I believe it should be possible to create a perfect credible heroine with hair. Hair is, as you pointed out, also a way to accent sexuality, so I think it's the (modern, un-traditional, maybe manly) attitude what makes a woman kick-ass. Beatrice in Kill Bill doesn't use her sexuality in the way Lara Croft does. Would shaving her give her the credibility she needs, you think?Brandon Zielhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07912372011299217842noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6753820.post-17840216729021117662011-04-18T07:07:29.076-04:002011-04-18T07:07:29.076-04:00Ripley shaved her head in Alien 3, not AliensRipley shaved her head in Alien 3, not AliensJenifhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06396086513565435806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6753820.post-12628130982614026462009-03-30T01:09:00.000-04:002009-03-30T01:09:00.000-04:00That was pretty interesting. That was pretty interesting.Emberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08856751729615076728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6753820.post-43209964009128068902008-03-08T19:55:00.000-05:002008-03-08T19:55:00.000-05:00Concerning bald women, some can probably pull it o...Concerning bald women, some can probably pull it off, and others look better if they kept their hair. I thought it would be up to the individual; in that case, I rather keep my hair. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6753820.post-64593730587155565422008-01-31T06:40:00.000-05:002008-01-31T06:40:00.000-05:00I too am studying the role of women in science fic...I too am studying the role of women in science fiction films and would extremeley grateful for any helpAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6753820.post-82201954259141575882007-11-15T10:05:00.000-05:002007-11-15T10:05:00.000-05:00Im researching women in science-fiction films, and...Im researching women in science-fiction films, and have recently been watching a variety of films.
