BTW, I don't think this project will succeed. I can't see it competing with hyper-dynamic, user-driven, collaborative online worlds like Second Life. It's too 'corporate' and constrained.

The graphics look marginally better than some other online worlds, and I expect these things will evolve over time, but fundamentally this doesn't look like anything very innovative.

More constrained environments may have advantages over completely unbridled ones, particularly with regard to limiting the effect of "griefing" which tends to drive new users away. Also in unconstrained environments virtual economies tend to follow the same pattern as conventional ones, in that you end up with a small number of users owning and controlling almost everything.
